Cultural Resources

Lawhon & Associates, Inc. completed our first archaeological survey in 2006. Since this first project, our consulting practice has grown to include the full range of cultural resource services required by our clients, with experience across all sectors. Our professionals routinely complete projects of varying size and scope involving identification of archaeological sites and historic properties, assessment of effects and development and implementation of mitigation measures. Each project is led by a professional that meets or exceeds the U.S. Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualification Standards in their respective discipline and is well-versed in Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. They are also experienced with various federal, state and local requirements relative to cultural resource preservation and are listed as qualified consultants with State Historic Preservation Offices (SHPO) across the region.
