Whiskey Island Connector Trail, Cuyahoga County

CLEVELAND METROPARKS / OHIO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

The Whiskey Island Connector Trail in the City of Cleveland links Wendy Park to Edgewater Park along Lake Erie. Design and construction of the 1.25-mile long off-road shared use trail was funded by a combination of a federal TIGER grant, state, local and private sources.  The Whiskey Island Connector Trail is part of a larger network of trails within the Greater Cleveland region, providing connections to the Ohio Erie Canal Towpath Trail via the Centennial Lake Link Trail. Due to federal funds, NEPA clearance was required from ODOT. L&A worked with ODOT and other project teams on a combined Categorical Exclusion covering multiple improvements for this trail network.
