The Ohio Department of Transportation, District 6, maintains an on-call environmental services contract for the Central Ohio region including Franklin, Delaware, Fayette, Madison, Marion, Morrow, Pickaway and Union Counties. L&A served as the District’s consultant from 2013-2019 under three consecutive contracts totaling $800,000. Activities included: Noise and Air Quality Analyses, ESA Screenings, Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, Asbestos Surveys, Ecological Surveys, Mussel Surveys and Relocations, Biological Assessment, Phase I Archaeology, Waterway Permitting, public involvement and oversight for environmental commitments during construction for major projects. The contract was used to complete expedited environmental studies and CE document for the Design/Build reconstruction of I-70 in Madison County. Assignments have often required aggressive schedules, ranging from one week to 60 days.
