DAYTON METRO LIBRARY

The Dayton Metro Library began a $187 million dollar system-wide building improvement project in 2013. Lawhon is the environmental consultant for these projects, under contract with the local design firms selected. To date, we have completed assignments at the Main Library, New Lebanon Branch, Hauer Building, EC Doren Branch, Vandalia Branch, Webster Station and the Vandalia Board of Education building (property purchased by DML). The scope of our services includes review of existing environmental documentation, hazardous building material assessments, abatement design, as well as onsite monitoring and clearance sampling during abatement work. We have also completed Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) at four sites to be acquired as part of the capital improvement program.
