Harrison Avenue Improvements

GREEN TOWNSHIP, HAMILTON COUNTY

The Harrison Avenue project involved pavement rehabilitation, widening narrow travel lanes and adding sidewalks between Wesselman Road and the Harrison Greene Retail Center. The project included a center turn lane and a slide repair. Initial plans anticipated that the project would involve a property relocation which would have elevated the project to a higher category of Categorical Exclusion. During preliminary design work, L&A prepared appropriate tasks on parallel tracks for a lower-level C2 and a higher-level D1 to maintain the project schedule as design decisions were finalized. L&A prepared a Public Engagement Plan and assisted with preparing for and conducting a Public Meeting that would meet public outreach requirements for either document type. Ultimately, L&A prepared a C2 document for ODOT’s approval, along with supporting ecological and regulated materials studies.
