Bale Kenyon and Lewis Center Road Intersection Improvements

DELAWARE COUNTY ENGINEER / OHIO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

Delaware County and the Ohio Department of Transportation are proposing to improve the intersection of Bale Kenyon Road and Lewis Center Road in Orange Township, Delaware County, Ohio. As the lead environmental consultant, L&A was responsible for the Categorical Exclusion (CE) document and supporting environmental studies, including preparation of the Level 1 Ecological Survey Report. L&A conducted ecological studies early in the design process, encompassing a large study area, in order to ensure that potential impacts to ecological resources would be reduced to the maximum extent possible. The project was unique due to its close proximity to Alum Creek State Park, and required coordinating with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Ohio Department of Natural Resources,State Parks Division.
