Principal, Director of Environmental Services

Ms. Bontrager is a Managing Principal and the Director of L&A’s Environmental Services Division. She oversees all projects involving air quality, hazardous building materials, environmental site assessment and remediation, ecological and cultural resource management and environmental permitting for the public and private sector. Karrie also serves as the technical lead for L&A’s air quality service line, with more than 20 years of experience addressing indoor environmental issues involving microbial contamination, environmental infection control and occupant exposure. Ms. Bontrager is also experienced in the management of issues once identified; she performed oversight and testing on her first large-scale mold remediation project in 1999. Since this project, she has designed specifications, estimated costs and served as project manager for over $12 million of microbial remediation in schools, hospitals, public and commercial buildings. Ms. Bontrager is a LEED Accredited Professional.
