Cunz Hall Renovation

THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY

Cunz Hall is home to the College of Public Health. L&A conducted a hazardous building materials survey prior to the complete renovation of the approximately 60,000 square foot facility. In addition to generating specifications/drawings for the wide range of ACM and other hazardous materials identified in base building and mechanical systems, L&A developed unique engineering controls to address PCBs present in expansion joints for the concrete exterior façade. Throughout the design and bidding process, L&A prepared SD, DD, CD and permit design packages and attended all necessary presentations and meetings. L&A was on-site during hazardous materials abatement and coordinated all aspects of the work with the general contractor, construction manager and OSU. L&A was also responsible for collecting daily environmental air-samples, reviewing contractor submittals, documenting daily abatement activities, performing final clearance inspections and testing and assembling closeout documentation.
