Ohio Army National Guard Properties

Lawhon & Associates, Inc. completed an Intensive Level Architectural Survey and Evaluation of Structures Report on 78 buildings and structures, forty years and older, on Ohio Army National Guard (OHARNG) owned properties.  The field surveys for this project were completed in February and March 2009 at 34 separate training sites located in 30 counties throughout the State of Ohio.  During the field work for this project, Ohio Historic Inventory (OHI) forms were completed documenting any buildings and structures, forty years and older, that had not been previously documented.  Sufficient data were collected in order to evaluate eligibility for inclusion, either individually or as part of a district, in the National Register of Historic Places.  In addition to the field survey, a literature review and archival research was performed in order to develop an appropriate historic context necessary in determining eligibility for inclusion in the NRHP.
