Thornwood Drive Improvements - Licking County, Ohio

Lawhon & Associates, Inc. completed a literature review of all previously inventoried history/architecture resources within a four kilometer (2.49 miles) radius of the Thornwood Drive Road Improvements Project located in parts of Granville, Heath, and Newark in Licking County, Ohio.  The literature review established that there were no previously inventoried history/architecture resources within the project area. Adjacent to the project Lawhon identified: one site listed in the National Register of Historic Places; sixteen Ohio Historic Inventory sites (five demolished/one moved); and one property that was eligible for the National Register of Historic Places.  A historic context evaluation was completed in order to determine potential eligibility for the National Register of Historic Places as well as cultural resource management recommendations.
