INTERN - Summer Positions
Lawhon & Associates Inc. located in Columbus, Ohio, has immediate need
for entry-level temporary or internship position(s). We have an opportunity
for the right individual to join our fast-growing practice in NEPA
compliance and permitting.
ECOLOGICAL SCIENTIST INTERN
The candidate will contribute to a variety of projects including but not
limited to ecological surveys, wetlands delineations, waterway permitting,
and habitat evaluation. Will also provide support to related
specialties. Projects may involve overnight travel to job sites
throughout Ohio.
This is a great opportunity for college students to gain environmental
experience over the summer and/or obtain an internship in your major.
Rate of pay: $14.50/hour

ARCHAEOLOGIST INTERN
The candidate will contribute to a variety of projects including but not
limited to Phase I and II Archaeological Surveys, artifact identification
and curation, records research and report writing. Will also provide
support to related specialties. Projects may involve overnight travel to job
sites throughout Ohio.
The successful candidate will have education in archaeological field
investigations and prehistoric artifact identification. Experience
with records searches at the Ohio Historic Preservation Office is preferred.
GIS experience is a plus.
Rate of pay: $14.00 - $17.00/hour, based upon education and experience.

Environmental Technician
Lawhon & Associates, Inc. (L&A) provides complete asbestos consulting
services to a diverse assortment of clients. Position responsibilities
include:
- Building Inspections and Surveys
- Abatement/Remediation Design
- Air Monitoring
- Project Management
- Final Clearance Testing
The individual must have a minimum of 2 years experience and hold an Ohio
Department of Health AHES and AHAS certification, demonstrate good
communication skills, be willing to travel and have a good work ethic.
